Fellow Lockdowners

I started doodling, with my daughter Lily, as something to do on the weekends when she was (after her quarantine) allowed to visit me.
At the time, videos and photos were starting to appear on social media, of curious animals, coming out into empty city streets and villages around the world, to see what had happened to us.
Since then, there has been favorable attention given to these doodles, which have slowly, through practice, got a bit less.... doodley. At first, it was grab a pen, any pen. Now its specifically BIC pens. Why? Because of the ink flow, the finer nib, and the texture one can get from these pens as opposed to others. No I'm not advertising BIC.Yet ><
Now to the legal matters - the process I use is a teeny weeny bit of cheating: I "light-box" trace from a photograph to get the correct proportions. Then I let the pen do the rest. The hatching gives the image a life of its own. Some photo images I use are license purchased from Shutterstock and the like, and some are taken from the internet (because I fall in love with the image the photographer has caught of the animal, and I just HAVE to "doodle" it). So this is why I can not go public with this website just yet. So it's by invitation only, for now.
Any funds received from commissions goes to a project I am developing with my business partner, which will be announced soon.
Ok thats it. Thank you for your interest, as well as the wonderful comments about these doodles, and, as we start to lift the Lockdowns around the world, here's to a new and better normal! :)
